Kilims are double sided, flat woolen rugs with a characteristic slit weave. This means that the weft has slits where the colors change. The rugs feature classic Gashgai motifs such as rhombuses, squares, stripes, and Caucasian star patterns. Colors such as blue, yellow, red, green, and beige are used.
